Our system had plans for several summer school reading camps throughout the summer June/July, I am assuming that we could do face to face if and when those camps are allowed and social distancing is stopped?

Would inability to observe a student in an educational setting be an approved reason?
Wanda Spencer
01:48:17

Schools being closed will by definition prohibit us from completing LD evals through which observations within the general ed and special education classroom are part of the eligibility criteria.
Susan Long

My thought is that if we are able to resume operations in the summer but no access to students until August (hopefully).

Renee
02:00:58

Wanda Spencer
02:02:08
I know our supervisor is awaiting state guidance on whether or not to have any type of ESY. It sounds like this is going to be a district level decision?

Sports camps can social distance...individual assessments are another matter due to close proximity. Will this be a district decision as well?

Is there any indication of when the Gov Lee will lift social distancing because most local districts will follow the state recommendation? It seems that social distancing is most likely the cause for us to not be able to complete testing with students
lauren
02:04:38
Does the district need to follow the same order for both start and end date, or is it possible for the start date to be due to one order and the end date to another?
Andrew Phillips
02:04:42
So does a district have to pick one be it local state or federal and stick with it the entire time? or could a district pick a federal start date but then a local end date?
Danielle Reeves
02:05:35
What should we do in the case that the district lifts the mandate to be socially-distant, but the student's parent isn't comfortable with contact yet and doesn't want to provide the student for face-to-face testing?

Is there any word on students who turned 7 in process for dev delayed evaluation? For example a student who turned 7 in april but was in process for DD
Andrew Phillips
02:11:01
On TEIS student evaluation would we be dinged of we go over the students third birthday? or is there going to a excel chart like for other initial evals?

If the team feels like it is not possible to determine if criteria is met over the summer, would it be an option to do a noneligible determination, but then reopen in August or September when it will be possible to determine if eligibility can be met.

02:25:51
